Unexpected Guests at Intuit Dome
Billy Joel had a big night at the new Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, with surprise appearances from John Mayer and Axl Rose.
A few months back, Joel wrapped up his Madison Square Garden shows by bringing out Axl Rose for a final performance. They met again on stage to perform Guns Nā Roses’ version of “Live and Let Die,” originally by Wings.
At that MSG finale, they also rocked out to “Highway to Hell” by AC/DC and ended with “You May Be Right.” Their first collaboration happened back in 2017 at Dodger Stadium.
Joining in the fun, John Mayer teamed up with Joel for “This Is the Time,” a song they performed together once before at Shea Stadium in 2008.
Fans love when musicians come together like this. Even though the MSG shows are done, Joel has exciting plans. He’s set to co-headline stadium concerts with Sting or Stevie Nicks in 2025.
