Charli XCX Bids Farewell to Legendary Brat Summer

Charli XCX is wrapping up her summer and getting ready for a fall tour.

On Labor Day, she said goodbye to Summer 2024, marked by her hit album Brat.

“Goodbye forever brat summer,” she posted on X.

The success of Brat has been huge. Rolling Stone said, “the world had finally caught up” with Charli. Songs like "Von Dutch" and "360" got everyone talking this summer.

She kept the buzz going with big remixes, like “Girl, So Confusing” with Lorde and “Guess” with Billie Eilish. Then, she released an expanded version of Brat with extra songs. One of her tracks, “Apple,” even started a TikTok dance challenge.

Fans love how music can mix with politics too. Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign joined in on the fun by using Charli’s album style for their X header when she was nominated. Charli tweeted, “Kamala IS brat.”

“To be on the right side of democracy, the right side of women’s rights is hugely important to me,” Charli told New York Magazine. “I’m happy to help to prevent democracy from failing forever.”

We think it’s cool when artists stand up for important causes.

Even though Brat summer is over, the songs will stick around. Charli’s touring with Troye Sivan this fall. She texted fans about tickets for her Sweat tour, saying, “U ready?”

Starting September 14, Charli and Troye will perform in cities like New York, Boston, Chicago, and Nashville.
