Chris Hemsworth’s Drum Debut

Chris Hemsworth showed off his drumming skills on stage with Ed Sheeran in Romania during a concert.

The surprise performance will appear in the next season of Hemsworth’s docuseries, Limitless, which is on Nat Geo and Disney+. In this show, he tries out different activities to improve his life.

“Sheeran explained in an Instagram video that Chris emailed him last December about doing a documentary on cognitive health and learning instruments. He visited Sheeran and learned to play the drums, then performed in front of 70,000 people.”

Hemsworth shared, "I’ve been thinking about this a lot. It’ll be nice to put this one to bed."

The crowd in Bucharest had no idea who was drumming for “Thinking Out Loud” until the end when Sheeran revealed Hemsworth.

Backstage, Sheeran praised Hemsworth, saying, "You really, really did well," and even gave him a “Participation Award” as a keepsake.

Fans think it’s cool how Hemsworth and Sheeran support each other.

Hemsworth, a huge fan and friend of Sheeran, often goes to his concerts. Sheeran also showed up at Hemsworth’s Extraction 2 premiere.

“He’s the most incredible musician, obviously, good person, humble, kind, great sense of humor,” Hemsworth told Extra last year. He added that such humility is rare among the super-famous.

Asked if he’d ever team up with Sheeran for music, Hemsworth joked, “I’d rather bring him into a film than me try and sing. That would be catastrophic.”
