Jelly Roll and MGK Light Up the Stage
Jelly Roll and MGK hit The Tonight Show stage, performing “Lonely Road” with Travis Barker and a band around a flaming trash can.
The song, which came out earlier this summer, mixes John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and was produced by Barker, Charlie Handsome, BazeXX, and SlimXX.
MGK shared, Ć¢ā¬ÅWe worked on Ć¢ā¬ÅLonely RoadĆ¢ā¬Ā for 2 years, 8 different studios, 4 different countries, changed the key 4 times, and this Friday youĆ¢ā¬ā¢ll hear we finally got it right,Ć¢ā¬Ā and in July, they dropped a music video featuring Megan Fox and Bunnie XO.
Fans really appreciate how much effort goes into making these songs perfect.
Over the weekend, Jelly Roll also performed on Saturday Night Live, where he sang Ć¢ā¬ÅLiarĆ¢ā¬Ā and Ć¢ā¬ÅWinning Streak,Ć¢ā¬Ā both from his upcoming album, Beautifully Broken, which drops on Oct. 11.
On Friday night, he rocked Madison Square Garden, surprising everyone with Post Malone as a guest to debut “Losers” live from MaloneĆ¢ā¬ā¢s F-1 Trillion album.
He later chatted with Fallon about his recent rise in fame and the fun, but nerve-wracking, experience on SNL. Ć¢ā¬ÅIt was so fun,Ć¢ā¬Ā he said, adding, Ć¢ā¬ÅI was more nervous for the sketch, obviously, because IĆ¢ā¬ā¢m a fish out of water in the music business and IĆ¢ā¬ā¢m a double fish out of water when I was there.Ć¢ā¬Ā
