Kamala Harris Honors Quincy Jones as Trailblazer

Kamala Harris paused her hectic schedule before Election Day to pay tribute to Quincy Jones, who passed away at 91.

On social media, Harris described Quincy as a trailblazer, noting his talents as a composer, arranger, and producer that brought happiness to many. She praised him for his activism in civil and human rights.

She also mentioned how Quincy inspired young artists, especially those of color, and expressed gratitude for his friendship, kindness, and generosity.

Fans always remember those who make a difference in the world, even if they’re no longer with us.

Harris concluded her post by sending prayers to Quincy’s family and all who loved him.

This heartfelt message followed an old interview Quincy gave, where he famously critiqued Donald Trump, calling him names that made headlines again.

Quincy’s family shared the sad news through the Associated Press, saying their hearts were full yet broken. Many artists, like the Weeknd and Flea, have honored him since.

In a statement from the White House, Joe Biden celebrated Quincy as a genius who changed America’s music scene, beat by beat.

Biden also highlighted how Quincy united people through music, believing in its power to heal and uplift those in need.
