Lifetime is set to showcase stories of famous musicians in new films.
The channel will start its movie series, Voices of a Lifetime, with Mary J. Bligeās film Family Affair on January 25. This is the third film inspired by her song āFamily Affair,ā following Real Love and Strength of a Woman. The movie will feature Ajiona Alexus and DaāVinchi again in their previous roles.
In Family Affair, tensions rise as Ben helps his brother secretly, and Kendra finds herself back in the city with an old friend returning to her life. Theyāll need the family’s support to mend their bond and stay true to their love.
Mary J. Blige helped produce this film while Troy Scott directed, and Rachel Ingram wrote it.

A week later, on February 1, a biopic about Lisa Lisa will debut. Jearnest Corchado plays the role of Lisa Velez as the movie shows her journey as a Latina star. Titled Can You Feel the Beat: The Lisa Lisa Story, the film highlights her path to becoming a music icon.
This film comes from Swirl Films, with Tailiah Breon directing and Rebecca Murga writing. Lisa Velez also took on the role of executive producer.
Wrapping up the series, I Will Survive: The Gloria Gaynor Story will air. Robin Robertsā production company leads the project, with Joaquina Kalukango and Lance Gross starring as Gaynor and her husband, Linwood Simon. Gaynor herself is an executive producer for this movie, which will feature her most famous songs, including her hit āI Will Survive.ā
