Teddy Swims was getting his hair cut when he found out he got a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2025, so he quickly called his dad.

“Alright! Hot dog!” shouted his dad on FaceTime, while Swims’ team celebrated loudly in the background. Swims, overwhelmed, said to his dad, “I’m freaking shaking right now, I’m so pumped.”

His dad, trying not to cry, told him, “Look what you’ve done, baby. It’s amazing. I’m so proud of you, baby. You made it all happen, son. I’m proud of you. Yup, you did it. That’s cool as shit, son.”
